Culture

The network of cultural institutions comprises 26 libraries, regional culture center, town center of culture and sport, regional center of crafts, 22 rural centers of culture, one children’s music school, and three museums: regional museum of local lore, Ivan Melezh museum in the village of Glinische, Boris Sachenko museum in the village V. Bor.

Two branches of the music school were opened in the village of Sudkovo in 2004 and in the village of Strelichevo in 2005.

A folk theater and the folk band Spadchyna perform in the regional House of Culture. The music school has the children’s group Verasok and the folk musical band Krynitsa.

There is a movie theater in the town as well.
